Haiti donation thru Red Cross
Fence for Haiti Project: During the week of January 18th, all members were invited to designate one or more bouts during their regular fencing practice in which they would pledge a looney to Haiti for every hit they scored. Three Damocles leaders then pledged a looney for every fencer who participated. As a result, 23 members took part and a total of $311.80 was raised. City councillor David Kelly dropped by the club to accept our donation to the Canadian Red Cross. Thanks to Shauna for suggesting this project and to everyone who took part.
