Damocles fencing club provides interested participants, ten years and older, in the Fredericton area with quality instruction and training support in the sport of fencing. We offer instruction in all 3 weapons (foil, epee and sabre) and are always looking to introduce new members to the sport.
For anyone new to fencing, please read our Programs section to find out how you can take your first steps in the sport. Details about the club itself and membership plans are available to help you choose a suitable program. We are having an Open House September 20 to 22. If you want to see the sport in action or are interested in staring classes, please come out and see us.

For current fencers looking to join Damocles, we have a wonderful new facility that gives you more access to instruction and bouting time than ever before. You can see some of the work in progress here.
Damocles is home to instructors Evan Schriver, Graham Thurston and Ben Newling. Barb Daniel is our head coach and is certified as a level 4 NCCP master of foil and epee. Jim Stevens has joined us from the Beaches Sabre Club and is an NCCP level 3 prevost and Aide-Moniteur in sabre. Both Barb and Jim support our competitive fencers by coaching athletes strip-side and providing private lessons.
